OOTD: Girl on a mission

I had so much fun today shooting for the blog. The wind was playing with me and my skirt and even now, while writing this, I smile again when thinking about the people passing by, wondering what the *bliep* is she doing out there?

Well people, I can tell you exactly what I'm doing out there. I'm on a mission to tell all you girls and woman that you can have fun dressing up when you are curvy. And that you can look and feel beautiful. Just by putting on clothes that match your personality. Don't hide your curves, show them and be proud of them!

Now and than I get compliments by complete strangers that I look nice or great or that I have a nice dress. When they say it they sound almost surprised... like it's impossible for a curvy girl to look nice. Don't get me wrong, I love compliments and those people mean well. In my opinion you have to put in just a bit of extra effort to look good when you are a big girl, put on some make-up, do your hair, wear those heels hiding in your closet. You feel better when you do, am I right? Yes, I am and you know it!

About the clothes: this blouse I got some time ago from Big on Fashion. Remember the personal card that came with it? (see here) I've worn it quite a bit but didn't use it in a OOTD so far. So here it is. The skirt is made by me. I made another one and I an't wait to show you. So coming up soon...

OOTD: Lady in red

Oh la la, this is what you call red, can't miss me in this one! This sleeveless dress I bought a few weeks ago at the 'Grote maten Beurs' and it was on supersale. So off course it had to go home with me. It's quite romantic because of the flowers and I tried to give it a kind of an edge with the leather jacket. I imagine wearing it bare legged with a nude or red pump in summertime but for now I prefer to keep my tights on (brrr....). I have a red cardigan in exactly the same color so I think I might team them up some time. When I'm in a romantic mood. Oh and braid my hair for that extra romantic touch... keep you posted!

So for now I wish you a very nice weekend, make it a good one!

OOTD: Zebra pants

Well, here I am, with my pants on! I think it's a first on this blog, me wearing pants. I don't like pants that much, I'm more of a dress/skirt kind a gal. I even hate jeans (on me that is...) and I don't know what it is but even now and then I find a pair to my liking. So what do you think: more pants wearing on the blog or not?

Oh and those heels: gorgeous but they are killing my feet! Auch!

OOTD: Straight to the point

This is a super relaxed and casual outfit. Today I'm wearing it with my Carmakoma blazer but I often wear it with a black cardigan or black blazer. The dress (Asos Curve) is sleeveless and is from last season. I did some alterations on the neckline, made it just a bit wider. I think my skill with the sewing machine come in handy from time to time!
The legging is my best friend at the moment, it spices up every dress I have and comes in handy whenever I have a 'bad tights day'.

I love the pointy anckle boots but they walk like hell. They are just not that stable and the sole is very thin. But hey, they are cute, aren't they?
Wanted to wear my hair straight today and made a little beehive. Just tease that hair up, hairspray it en secure with some bobby pins. I just put two over each other et voilà! It holds all day.

So there you go, straight to the point ;-) See you soon!

OOTD: Under the turquoise sun

It's been a while (again) but hey, I've been busy and didn't realize that's it was already a few weeks back since my last post. So here I am! I really wanted to show you this dress by Asos Curve and although the weather didn't seem to work with me today (it's poring cats and dogs all day long) I ran out when it was dry for a few minutes so I hope you like the quicker than quick shots I made.

Well, this dress just makes me happy, or at least the color does. I thought the neckline was a bit higher than I usually wear but I guess a girl sometimes likes to wear something that doesn't show cleavage that much. Right? And the back has a little surprise ;-)

Oh and yes, I got a haircut and it's a bit short for my taste but it will grow back, eventually, I hope ;-)
